How much a website costs in Mexico, and what drives the price

The factors that move the price of a website in Mexico, what each investment range covers, and how to compare two quotes that look alike but are not.

Short answer

The price of a website in Mexico does not depend on the number of pages but on how much work sits behind it: bespoke design or a template, copy written or supplied by the client, integrations, languages and measurement. Two quotes with the same page count can differ by an order of magnitude because they include different things.

It is the first question in almost every quote and the hardest to answer flatly, because "a website" describes things about as similar to each other as a rented unit and a building you own.

What actually drives the price

Page count is the worst indicator there is. These are the factors that genuinely move the figure:

Bespoke design or a template. A purchased template costs little and it shows. A design built around your brand and your offer costs more because somebody spends hours deciding each thing.

Who writes the content. Writing a site's copy is a job in itself. If you supply it, the project is cheaper and faster. If the vendor writes it, that is a real line item.

Integrations. A form that sends an email costs a fraction of a form that creates a CRM record, fires an automation, and notifies a salesperson on WhatsApp.

Languages. A bilingual site is not double the work, but it is not the same either: content has to be structured for two languages from the start, and everything written later has to be translated.

Measurement. Leaving GA4 with defined events, conversions wired to Google Ads and the Meta pixel working is technical work that many quotes omit and that gets paid for separately afterwards.

Ecommerce. Selling online adds catalogue, payments, shipping, tax and a checkout that has to be measured step by step. It is a different category of project.

How to compare two quotes

Put both in a table and answer these for each:

Question Why it matters
Who writes the copy? Usually the biggest difference between two prices
Who supplies the images? Professional photography is its own line item
Bespoke design or a template? Determines whether the site looks like everyone else's
Is measurement installed? Without it you will not know whether the site works
How many revision rounds are included? Avoids the awkward conversation mid-project
What happens after launch? Hosting, updates, support
Who owns the code and the domain? It should be you, always

If one quote is half the other, it is almost always because it does half the work. It is worth finding out which half before signing.

The ranges we use to orient a conversation

At ORBITAQ we ask for an approximate investment range at first contact, not to box you in, but because it changes the conversation completely:

  • Under $10,000 MXN — covers a landing page focused on a single action, with content from your side.
  • $10,000–$25,000 MXN — a corporate site of a few sections, bespoke design, basic measurement.
  • $25,000–$50,000 MXN — a full site, worked content, connected measurement and some integrations.
  • $50,000–$100,000 MXN — projects with ecommerce, automation or particular technical requirements.
  • Over $100,000 MXN — custom platforms and multi-phase projects.

These are conversation ranges, not a price list. Real scope is defined with you before any formal figure exists.

The question worth asking first

Before "how much does it cost", it pays to answer "what has to happen for this site to be worth it". If the answer is ten quote requests a month, that defines one project. If it is to stop explaining the same thing on the phone, it defines a very different and probably cheaper one.

A site that costs $80,000 and brings customers is cheaper than one at $15,000 that brings none.

In short

The price of a website in Mexico is set by where the design comes from, who writes the content, the integrations, the languages, and whether measurement is installed. Compare quotes on what they include, not on page count, and decide first what the site has to achieve.

Frequently asked questions

Why do two website quotes differ so much in price?
Because they rarely include the same work. One may start from a purchased template with the client supplying the content, the other may include bespoke design, copywriting, integrations and measurement installed. Page count is the worst price indicator there is.
Is a WordPress or Wix template cheaper?
Up front, yes. The cost appears later, when you need something the template does not anticipate and you end up fighting it, or when performance becomes a ranking problem.
What should a website quote always specify?
Who writes the content, who supplies the images, whether measurement is installed, how many languages it covers, what happens with hosting and the domain, and what support after launch includes.
How long does building a website take?
The factor that stretches a project is almost never development: it is waiting for content. A project with copy and images ready moves far faster than one where content is decided along the way.
